It took me two weeks of living on my own before I decided to adopt my first dog, Koda. As a brand new owner, I immediately found a trainer to teach me how to work with him, and it has been an evolving journey since. Koda led me into fostering which I did until I adopted an adult doberman, Kaiser.
Kaiser came from an abusive situation and had a number of behavioral challenges to work through. This led to more research and training on applying different methods to address these behaviors. An avid learner, I continued to take classes and learn from various trainers to soak in more knowledge.
After Kaiser passed, I knew I wanted to continue on in the world of working dogs and now actively train in multiple disciplines such as herding, obedience, conformation and IGP.
Over the years I have helped many friends overcome training issues, and have trained and titled dogs for other people. My favorite part of working with dogs is seeing the relationship grow between owner and companion. I am excited to share this knowledge in helping you better enjoy your relationship with your dog.
